A preceptor letter must be provided from an individual who can verify the candidate's total training in nuclear cardiology. The letter must document the dates of the applicant's training and be dated no earlier than 36 months prior to application. A preceptor must be one of the following:
Applicants who met pathway requirements under prior eligibility rules but who did not pass the exam shall have two additional attempts to pass under the eligibility rules that existed at the time of the initial eligibility. Excepted are any new requirements put into effect by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission with regard to 10 CFR Part 35.290 training and experience requirements. Also excepted are requirements for candidates who have failed more than three (3) or more than six (6) times, for whom additional training is required.
Candidates must provide all documentation and payment in the year of application.
